The Job Responsibilities
The Project Manager will work a hybrid schedule based in our Andover, MA office.
This position is responsible for managing a variety of product development and/or sustaining projects within the Program Management Office of Draeger Medical Systems, Inc.
- Responsible for overall project planning, execution, and closure to achieve project objectives within the constraints of scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk. At this Program Manager level, the projects would typically be small to medium sized projects.
- Leads the cross functional team (CFT) throughout the product development lifecycle, from conceptualization, through definition, design, realization, validation, to production release of new or existing devices, systems, IT, and/or related accessory products.
- Face and champion of the project; manage the project as if it were your own business.
- Responsible for communication of key project performance metrics, status, key decisions, risk identification, and mitigation strategies to management.
- Responsible for the project DHF and other required documentation in compliance with internal QMS and FDA and other industry regulations.
- Explicitly manages and mitigates project risk.
- Supports program managers on large projects by managing a project or sub-project within the larger project.
- Performs other duties as needed and assigned.
Your Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor of Science degree required
- Engineering degree preferred
- Master’s degree preferred
- Project management degrees and/or certifications nice to have
Related Experience:
- Five or more years in the development of complex embedded systems and/or PC-based products and/or electro-mechanical systems or devices
- At least three years in project management of cross-functional teams and development projects
- Experience managing in a matrixed environment
- Experience in medical devices (strongly preferred) or other highly regulated product development activities/industries
- Business experience gained working across multiple disciplines
Work Environment / Conditions:
- Ability to travel nationally /internationally, up to 5-10% of the time.
The targeted pay range for this position is typically between $106,000 - $127,200. We note that the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. This position is eligible for the following additional compensation: annual bonus.
